We hope you and your team members had a really special, fun-filled celebration for Early Childhood Educators’ Day 2024!
(How did the day go so quickly?!!!)

According to our map of participating services, this year over 7,000 early learning services across Australia joined in the fun! It was our biggest celebration yet, and we couldn’t be more excited.

It’s so fantastic to see more and more learning services getting involved each year, letting their team members know just how much they are appreciated and at the same time contributing to a really positive, healthy team culture. Since the first celebration in 2011, we’ve seen the event grow and mature, and it has now become a celebrated occasion not just for the early learning sector, but for the broader community.

We’re so proud of how Early Childhood Educators’ Day is shining a spotlight on the incredible work you do.

Thanks again to those of you who have posted your photos to our 2024 Photo Gallery! It has been so much fun looking at your varied celebrations across the country. 

Just a friendly reminder that thanks to our wonderful Sponsors, we have some give-aways to hand out next Monday! You can still be in the running if you post photos over the weekend. We will be giving them away randomly (rather than based on any skill or preference) among the people who posted photos and completed the give-aways form. This means you only need to complete the form once to be in the running. 🙂

Every year we like to select a theme for Early Childhood Educators’ Day to add some light and colour to the celebrations, whilst reflecting what’s going on in the early learning sector from an operational and cultural perspective.

We’re delighted to announce that the 2024 theme for Early Childhood Educators’ Day is ‘Embracing diversity has early beginnings‘.

This year we celebrate the vital role that early childhood educators play in fostering a society that values diversity and promotes inclusivity. As the foundation of our future leaders, it is important that young children learn from the very beginning to appreciate and celebrate the little differences that make us all unique. 

In addition to valuing the diversity among our children, we also recognise and celebrate the unique diversity among our early childhood educators. We believe that the variety of their experiences, national and cultural backgrounds and perspectives enriches the educational environment and fosters a more inclusive and supportive community for all. By embracing the diversity of our educators, we create a culture of mutual respect, understanding and creativity that benefits everyone involved.

We hope the 2024 theme strikes a meaningful chord with early learning service providers, the families who attend early learning services and most importantly with our valued early childhood educators.
